Tackling Anti-Social Behaviour
Locally, Brighton and Hove Police and the Brighton and Hove City Council’s Partnership Community Safety Team have joined forces to tackle Anti-Social Behaviour. Such behaviour includes: –
Harassment and intimidation
Nuisance behaviour
Graffiti
Drug dealing
Criminal damage/vandalism
Excess noise
Verbal abuse
There are a range of options available to deal with Anti-Social Behaviour, but these are dependent on assistance from all sections of the local community in reporting the behaviour to the appropriate organisations.
All reporting of anti-social behaviour can be done in absolute confidence. All witnesses will be given ongoing support, as well as being kept informed of any relevant developments.
The “IT’S YOUR CALL” hotline is how YOU report ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR in your community
The number to call is 0845 605 2222
Council tenants can also report anti-social behaviour to their local housing office. Housing Association tenants can also report anti-social behaviour to their housing office.
Alongside the above, any incident which is an emergency should be reported to the Police on 999, and incidents of a less serious nature can be reported to the Police on 0845 60 70 999. Always ask for a crime reference/incident report number and record it.
